Gleechi Technology AB was founded in 2014 and has been awarded as The Super Startup of the Year by Veckans Affärer, winner of EIT DIGITAL Idea Challenge, awarded as one of Sweden’s most promising startups by NyTeknik, listed as one of Europe’s top 50 startups and is supported by several innovation clusters, including MIT SOLVE, H2020, STING, VINNOVA and EIT DIGITAL.

Gleechi Technology is founded on over eight years of award-winning scientific research, verified by over 30 scientific publications in major conferences and journals. We apply this research to deliver a pedagogical approach to better training.

We are a diverse and multicultural team, bringing together experience from companies such as Apple, Spotify, Sony, Edelman and Accenture.

Jakob Way, CEO

Jakob has been named one of Sweden's most successful young entrepreneurs as well as one of Sweden's 101 super talents. He has several years of experience from launching technology and entertainment products on the European market as a product manager.

Kai Hübner, CTO

Kai is one of the inventors of VirtualGrasp & co-founders of Gleechi. Kai has a strong research background in computer vision and robotics. From 2007 to 2010, he was a post-doctoral researcher at KTH, Stockholm. He is the author of over 30 scientific papers in the fields of computer vision and robotics.

Dan Song, Head of R&D

Dan is one of the inventors of VirtualGrasp. Dan has a strong research background in biomedical engineering, machine learning and robotics. From 2008-2012, she was a researcher at KTH, Stockholm. Dan has published around 20 scientific papers in the fields of robotics, biomechanics and computational neuroscience.

Jakob Way, CEO

Jakob has been named one of Sweden's most successful young entrepreneurs as well as one of Sweden's 101 super talents. He has several years of experience from launching technology and entertainment products on the European market as a product manager. Jakob has a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering and has previously been working with 3D technology and entertainment for over 4 years. He is the organizer of the biggest VR community in the Nordics as well as co-organizer for the European VR meetup, VR EUR. Jakob is on the prestigious MIT Technology Review list of top European Innovators under 35.

Kai Hübner, CTO

Kai is one of the inventors of VirtualGrasp & co-founders of Gleechi. Kai has a strong research background in computer vision and robotics. From 2007 to 2010, he was a post-doctoral researcher at KTH, Stockholm. He is the author of over 30 scientific papers in the fields of computer vision and robotics. Between 2011 and 2013, he was employed as a Senior Algorithm Developer at Tobii Technology, applying his expertise in computer vision in the eye tracking industry. Since 2014, Kai is CTO at Gleechi.

Dan Song, Head of R&D

Dan is one of the inventors of VirtualGrasp. Dan has a strong research background in biomedical engineering, machine learning and robotics. From 2008-2012, she was a researcher at KTH, Stockholm. Dan has published around 20 scientific papers in the fields of robotics, biomechanics and computational neuroscience, in major international conferences and journals, and her work in robotic grasping has received “Best Manipulation Paper Award” from IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation. Between 2012 and 2016, Dan was employed as a Computer Vision Scientist at ChyronHego, a global leader in broadcast graphics, where she applied her expertise in machine learning and computer vision in sports tracking for real-time data visualization.
